This job is from a dynamic and growing manufacturer of baked goods who is seeking an R&D Food Technologist.
Assist with ingredient statement and nutritional information preparation
Assist in development of product concepts and formulation
Preparation and baking of sample products
Develop formulas for bakery and for food service products
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:
Have a working knowledge of ingredient functionality
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Must know the details of Fresh Foods and/or Bakery
Should be comfortable operating commercial bakery equipment
Must be able to travel as required. (possibly some overnight travel)
Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize
Two years experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods, experience in a bakery plant is a plus
Must have strong interpersonal and Communication skills
Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight hours per day
Job requires lifting, moving, measuring ingredients and handling cases of the finished product
Must be able to work forty or more hours per week
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Ability to legally work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree. BS in food science or culinary certification preferred
