Plant Manager Job – Minneapolis MN – 2317
Responsible for Safety, Security, Health and regulatory programs on site including, but not limited to, Process Safety Management/Risk Management plans, emissions permitting and reporting, and support of ongoing safety improvements. Coordinates activities with site QC Manager, ensures that all food products are manufactured in accordance with industry and regulatory standards for quality and food safety. Oversees plant performance metrics and is responsible for continuous improvement activities at the site. Develops and tracks Key Performance Indicators and improvement plans against them. Prepares and submits the timely delivery of activity and monthly reports to keep Senior Management and others informed about the status of plant activities. Responsible for food safety and notifying Senior Management of any incident affecting food safety. Responsible for supervising/developing direct reports in areas of Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse operations. Follows and enforces all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards. Works to advance and promote the safety culture of the site.
Quality Assurance Manager

Ensure the facility delivers the required standards of food safety according to both Peacock Foods and Regulatory policies, procedures, and practices. Manage facility inspections, traceability, testing, vendor auditing, allergen and microbial program compliance. Work collaboratively across all necessary functions to ensure adherence to established programs and practices. Manage employees in the Quality Assurance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and developing employees; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Be responsible for managing BRC/SQF/USDA and all quality assurance and food safety audits. (Records of all reviews and reasons for amending documents, validations and changes to the BRC/SQF/USDA System shall be maintained) . Prepare and implementation of operations and QA standard operating procedures (SOP’s) that supports company programs and requirements. Ensure key traceability, inspection program management, vendor management, and microbial program metrics are established, and the delivery of the established metrics and Key Performance Indices. Be the primary plant contact and communication for customers and suppliers for all quality, food safety and regulatory issues. Food manufacturing jobs experience is a plus for this position.

Develop continuous improvement initiatives to ensure SQF quality, productivity and safety. Coordinate and administer daily interaction and activities between the assigned area of responsibility and all other departments in the plant. This would include peers across shifts.
